I have quite bad anxiety and I always think the worst.
I'm 36
A few weeks ago I noticed randomly I had a burning feeling in my chest and when I ate it would burn.
Then it went away.
Then two days ago when I was swallowing fizzy pop and eating it was burning and felt like something was stuck.
No when I eat it will burn in my throat and chest.
The back of my throat is burning a little and I always have a tickly cough.
I have a burning feeling in my chest when I burp.
I eat a lot of crap, loads of greasy foods and pastry and drink a lot of soft drink.
Drinking water doesn't hurt and I've ate this morning and no burning.
I drank a drink of lucozade and that burnt

What is wrong with me?

Heartburn. Take some Gaviscon.

Hugasauras · 01/09/2022 09:02

And the stuck feeling is probably acid reflux.

It's most likely heartburn.

I eat a lot of crap, loads of greasy foods and pastry and drink a lot of soft drink this won't help either.

It's heartburn and probably your anxiety too!

mrsbitaly · 01/09/2022 09:36

Yes my initial thought is heartburn. I only ever had it whilst pregnant and it can be really uncomfortable. If you are concerned though always speak to a GP.

It's actually okay today ..no doubt it will be back later.
Obviously my head went straight to oesophageal cancer.
Googling that has made me panic

Eating healthy food and cutting out the stuff you say you eating and drinking will help massively it causes excess acid and reflux once you've changed your diet if there is no improvement after a couple of weeks see your gp as you may need a check for a hernia.
Motto is shit diet causes shit health.
