Can I make pulled chicken with Heinz bbq sauce?

Just that really - dc want to try pulled chicken, I don't want to have to buy a load of ingredients that I may not use again. Can I cook with the Heinz bbq sauce (same bottle type as ketchup) and if so, how?

Whenever I make pulled anything, I use up any sauces we have - it's never the same and it's always gorgeous.

Slow cook the chicken first in some liquid & spice rub (liquid: cola or stock; spices: paprika, salt, pepper, maybe some brown sugar if not using cola, chipotle, bit of ketchup or BBQsauce, whatever, really.)

‘Pull’ the chicken when it’s slow-cooked. Add the Heinz BBQ sauce & a bit of the leftover cooking liquid, reheat.

Done. Yum.

Don’t put all the sauce in the slow cooker at the start. Keep most of the sauce for the end, let the chicken cook in the liquid.

Yes! My best pulled pork slow cooker recipe (which has disappeared from Evernote 😡) uses bbq sauce plus soy sauce, onions, Worcestershire sauce, Tom purée

Could you please share if you remember the recipe? I really want to have a go at this

It needs to be halved in my opinion otherwise it's too wet for a slow cooker and I use a 1.2 or 1.5kg joint

Method - just put it all in!
Ignore the butter at the bottom - that's just for the bread 😳

And I take out the remaining lumps of fat at the end too
