Withdrawal… implantation, talk to me

I’ve posted this on the conception board, but figured thats full of people dtd intentionally multiple times when fertile, so have posted here too to try and keep me sane until tomorrow.

ok, I’ll try and keep this simple.
me and dh spoke last month about potentially adding to our family, not definitely but possibly.
for the last 5 years we’ve been using condoms plus pull out.

So last time we dtd I was cycle day 7 of a consistent 27 day cycle, pulled out in plenty of time, thought nothing more of it.

cycle day 24 came along and I had spotting, well brown discharge, this is how my AF always starts, so I assumed was arriving early, so again thought nothing more of it.

Only the brown discharge was just that, it didn’t increase as usual and only happened the once, this is when I started thinking more of it.
this was 4 days ago, so I’m now a day late, my cycle has never been longer than 27 days!
I’ve just ordered tests from Amazon which will arrive tomorrow, but surely I’m not?!
We only dtd once during this cycle, he pulled out, and I yes I know withdrawal isn’t effective, but the chances on 1 use of it are so so slim surely.

I know about precum before I get that lecture, I’ve seen it in dh, but I also know that sperms need to be in the millions for a man to be considered fertile, so a precum baby must be even rarer.

I am thinking all sorts at the moment, one part of me thinks it’s daft to thinking that brown discharge was implantation.

The other part thinks…. fuck!

guess I’ll know tomorrow though

If you want to know sooner why not just go and get a pregnancy test from the shop?

nobody here ultimately knows but falling pregnant using (in some proportion) the withdrawal method I can't imagine would be a huge shock to anyone or a method employed at all if anyone was actively against a pregnancy.

Hope you get whatever result you are hoping for OP (if you even know!). It sounds like both you and your DP lean positively towards adding to the family?

abovedecknotbelow · 31/08/2022 18:41

Of course you could be. Go and get a test now?

Ohno22 · 31/08/2022 18:44

Definitely leaning positively, but I’ll be gobsmacked if I am, without really trying
