How long does it take to get traintrack braces fitted?

DD is getting braces fitted amd I'm sure the dentist said it would take about 40 mins but looking online it says 1 to 2 hours. I need to get back home for a meeting I stupidly booked too close to the appointment so wondering if anyone has any experience of how long it usually takes? It's traintrack braces top and bottom.

Many, MANY years ago I had them top and bottom and it was 1.5 hours ish.

There's no way it'll take 40 minutes. Once there in, they have to be tightened and adjusted to ensure they are comfortable but also doing their job. So I would either move your meeting or the appointment if you can?

My daughter recently had some fitted. I wasn’t there but it definitely wasn’t long. Im
sure 30 mins max.

This is my job. I book out either 50 or 60 minutes for this procedure. This includes after-care advice. HTH

Thank you. There seems to be a lot of variance! Going to cross my fingers it will be quicker than expected and have to deal with the consequences if not 🙃

@Penguintears can you ring and ask the orthodontist? My daughter is late teens so maybe it was quicker due to this. Be prepared for a lot of discomfort for a few days. Use the wax they give you. Regular painkillers worked well. Also soup and soft things. A straw helped with drinks. It does get better though!

It took an hour in the end and I made it back for my meeting 😊
