What might I forget to pack?

Going abroad for the first time in seven years for a pool holiday. First time ever with DC. My mind is all of a muddle. Help me correlate a list of things I might forget to prevent it happening?
I'm packing for myself, DD5 and baby DS.

Most important are passports, covid passes and tickets for flight. After that, I'd say anything that you wouldn't want to be with out for DB.

Cool bag for beach snacks

Smogtopia · 30/08/2022 08:13

How old will baby DS be?

Arenanewbie · 30/08/2022 08:22

Big pack of Dettol wipes.
Your own blankets for nighttime.
Small bags to put used nappies in or any sort of rubbish.
I took scissors with me recently found it very useful.
Bag to go to the shop.

By the way download to the wallet all boarding passes and Covid passes in advance, DH barely managed to do this on time with his Covid pass as NHS server stopped working. Then he had trouble with the internet on his mobile phone for a bit and couldn’t show boarding passes (he was in charge of this), we had them printed so it’s ok but just showed that it’s better to have back up all the time.

Glasses/sunglasses/contact lenses + solutions.
Mini sun cream/deodorant/shower gel/shampoo/Sudocrem etc. Superdrug and Boots good for minis!
Spare gas cell if taking heated hairbrush.

Sorry these aren’t child-centric - mine are now adults!

Download covid passes and boarding passes then screenshot them so you have a photo of them, so much easier than trying to find them on your email / downloads.
Obviously, clothes, sunscreen, hats, beach bag, beach towels.
Take some travel wash to rinse out clothes and chuck a few clothes pegs in your suitcase.
Buy extra bottled water at the airport so you have something to drink when you arrive at the hotel until you get your bearings especially if you're arriving late in the evening.
I take a few teabags, tea / coffee whitener, sweeteners and sachets of ready made coffee that you only need to add water to, put them in your suitcase so you can have a brew in the morning.
Take a carry on bag with stuff to keep the DC entertained, books, tablets, colouring pens.
Buy "meal deals" at the airport so you can eat on the plane cheaply.
Bag of sucky sweets to help with your ears popping.
Unless your travelling to Outer Mongolia you'll be able to buy essentials at your resort.
Enjoy your holiday

Socket adapters.

Palmtreesandsand · 30/08/2022 11:08

Ear solution from Boots to spray in ear before swimming to avoid ear infections.

Sea shoes to avoid stings

Ruck sack to carry to beach.

Printed map of area

Extra battery charger for phone

Don't forget to check roaming charges if any.

Salt if self catering and extra tea towel.

Small bag of washing powder.

Hand gel

Monitor and night lights if you need them, and lots of adapters. Chargers. I find they are the most annoying things to be without.
