For anyone who has been following the Teacher's Pet podcast, Chris Dawson was today found guilty of Lynette Dawson's murder.

Oh I’d missed this! Goodness. I wonder how her daughters feel about it.

LovelaceBiggWither · 30/08/2022 06:39

Good. I hope he will have the decency to reveal where he dumped her body.

Sagealicious · 30/08/2022 06:43

I don't think he will reveal where her body is sadly, unless of course he suddenly develops a conscience.

Fantastic verdict. The judge read his opinion for 5 hours before revealing the verdict. He seemed very concerned that the podcast might have tainted the evidence.
Lynette adored her children who were 2 and 4. The defence put forward that she had left them, also leaving behind her money, contact lenses rings and all her clothes.

Great news. I listened to a lot of both podcasts but this had fallen off my radar.

Anyone else read the Guardian article in an Australian accent?

LivinLaVidaLoki · 30/08/2022 06:56

At last. I cannot believe this took so long. Poor Lynette. Her family must be so relieved but at the same time it must be awful for her daughters.
Her poor mum also who died never knowing. Just awful all round.

I was thrilled to hear the news, but also a little surprised. I didn't think he would ever actually be convicted.

I wonder how her daughters feel about it. I know Shanelle went against Chris and the other daughter supported him. So sad. I really do feel For Lynette.

I don't think we'll ever find out where her body went. He'd have to admit he was guilty for that.
