Also posted in pedants corner but posting here for traffic too...

I'm arranging my save the dates and I can't find any conclusive advice online about the correct way to formally write out a date, punctuation included... can anyone offer any advice please?

19th August 2023, so should it be "Saturday, 19 August 2023"? Or something else?

The way you have suggested yourself is fine.

Saturday 19 August, 2023.

If you're asking people to save a date, do them the favour of telling them what day it is.

Yes I'll definitely be including what day it is, it's more a question of comma placement!
