I solved Semantle #252 in 86 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 1.40. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #34. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 5.39. semantle.com/

And my average remains stubbornly above 100! 100.05 now.

Took an odd path there.

(WeirdlyI started doing it today and accidentally closed the screen - when I reloaded the word had changed. (I am fairly sure I wasn't doing yesterdays)).

I totally ignored my average until it started creeping oh so slowly down to 100. Tomorrow I’ll take loads and it’ll go back up to 101.53.

Been meaning to ask who else does Junior? It’s getting much harder! Originally we got them in under 20 every day but it’s now common to take more than the adult one.

I remember! That was a nice easy one like the old days though. I got it in under 10. Today we haven’t yet got a green 50 guesses in and yesterday I fell asleep before getting it after trying on and off all day.

Got 994 at guess 19 but got a bit lost from there.

My first tepid word, along with other high cold words, took me down a completely different track. I went for a hint, which was 1/1000 - which isn't even a real word! - and that sent me down another, also useless, track.

I missed all the nice connotations of that word and only got the horrible ones. Definitely went more 992 than 984 (though I had neither of those).
