Mum tum, diastasis recti, MuTu... Talk to me, please

I've had a "mum tum" ever since becoming a mum 3 years ago, and finally feel motivated to do something about it. I'm a size 12, which I'd be very happy with if I was a toned and shapely 12, but my entire midsection is flabby, starting from almost directly under my bust. I'm assuming it's diastasis recti, though I can't seem to work out how to do the finger test, it just all feels like flesh and/or fat! Confused

I've seen positive things about the MuTu system and was thinking of giving that a go. I already walk briskly for an hour a day or so, as part of my routine, but I'm nervous about the exercises. I've never stuck to anything like that; I tend to find physical instructions hard-to-follow and the exercises boring. Willpower is not my strong point! I feel nervous and upset just thinking about my inevitable failure on this point Blush I also don't want to do any exercises that involve jumping around, as I live in a third-floor flat...

I'm also a terrible snacker and sorely need to tame my eating habits. I know I need more nourishing meals at proper meal times, not grazing on carbs and sweet things all day. Not sure why I'm writing out the obvious, except in the hope of some encouraging words! Please tell me it's possible for someone with not much self-discipline to get into these good habits and see a real difference! I guess I just don't believe, deep down, that anything I do will work, which is a self-fulfilling prophecy of course. Would love to hear your success stories.
