West coast of France trip ideas

Looking at getting ferry to Santander then driving up (2 / 3 stops) then ferry back from Caen.

has anyone done this and can they recommend some good places to stay for a week at a time ?

Biarritz, St Jean de Luz, Cap Ferret, La Rochelle, Ile de Re, Ile d'Oleron. It's a lovely part of the role.

I’d recommend Puy du fou, Ile de re and staying in northern Loire - possibly in a chateau hotel.

Second Puy du Fou it is amazing, Nantes and the lie de machines also, the whole coast is set up for tourists, do you like beaches or prefer sights?

Would recommend Pornic and Nantes - plenty to do and really good restaurants if you enjoy eating out.
