Long story short I live in Scotland my family live in England about 4/5 hours away.
I have a newborn and a toddler and it costs me over £250 travelling then I have to pay for accommodation etc this is a lot of money especially when I am on benefits and struggling financially.
My family always expect me to go down there mainly mum and sister so they can see the kids. If I didn’t go down my kids would never ever see them this is because every time I ask them to come here they straight up tell me no.
This is frustrating because they have no reason not to other than they don’t want to do the journey one time my sister even came to the city where I lived to see a concert and didn’t even come and see her niece. I asked the other week for her to come see my kids and she claimed she will never come back to Scotland because it stresses her out.
But as of today she is now attending another concert in Scotland next year so basically she will come for them but not to see her niece and nephew. I have to struggle just to go there and they do not care and if I don’t take them I am apparently depriving them of seeing the kids.
Anyway how would you react in this Situation?
