I'd cook in foil tray. It might be a lid only pie!!

Foil tray will be fine so long as not microwaving x

You cook it in the foil tray. External packaging means the box and plastic wrapper

Meceme · 28/08/2022 16:13

Keep foil tray. It just means remove the cardboard box and any cellophane if used.

Bravo!!! Thank you….I thought that but then started to doubt myself!

I bought a pie in M&S the other day (The bistro range, steak pie, with chips on top of it instead of a pastry lid. It was lush.) Instructions were to remove everything, including the foil dish.

See I think I’ve had similar for M&S and this is what made me doubt it. No M&S today though! Generic steak pie 😂

I find if I remove the foil tray I get a crisper pie - no soggy bottoms! However there is a risk of it collapsing...

My sister calls these lie pies.
