Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm enjoying my second cup of coffee & watching the wood pigeons flit about - they appear to be nest building in the big sycamore again.

The washer's on it's second load, and there are a handful of pots to be washed up. I want to strip the settee cushions when this load's done, so they can go in the washer too.

I don't think we're doing much today apart from a nip to Asda to top up salad bits. I want to finish off painting the dollshouse furniture I've been freshening up for work and hopefully cut out clothes to dress the weird bendy people who needed a new lease of life.

The girls have been watching Gilmore Girls together (and comparing me to Loralei Gilmore 🙄) so they'll probably watch some more of that.

Gammon's in the slow cooker for tea -I'm not sure what we'll have with it yet. Dd2's making desert though as part of her Guides Confectionery badge 😋

After tea, I'll carry on with the crochet creeper for dd2 to send to her friend. Should be finished tonight/tomorrow I think.

Morning @lucysmam , lounging around then off to the fair later, just started to rain here which is a relief from the humidity

I will be walking up the road to the care home to see my dad around 10.15am, then it's back home to fiddle about in the garden. I might read my book sat out on the patio this afternoon, other than that, it will be bugger all hopefully.

I'm not expecting any visitors so it will be a very quiet and peaceful day for me.

We’re going to take the dog for a walk with DSD and DSS - might suggest the aquadrome for a change and then we can get some coffee and cake at the cafe.

Later we have my parents and MIL coming around for dinner. We’re having gammon, egg, chips and beans which is not what I’d normally cook on a Sunday for guests but mum and dad want to try ‘proper chips cooked in an air fryer’ to see if they should get one as my mum hates the deep fat fryer but my dad loves chips!!

4 days post hysterectomy. Either lying on the bed or sofa! Trying to stay off social media so have a few new books I can read.

Giving out instructions to DH for him to ignore 🤦‍♀️

It’s a lovely sunny day here, DDog and I have had our early morning walk, she’s snoozing.
I have weeded a flowerbed/fruit bush bed and chopped a lot of plants back, brushed the patio, picked a bowl of tomatoes for my lovely neighbour and watered the greenhouse.
Now I’m having a cold drink and will go and sit outside and knit I think, and listen to a podcast or two.
DH is away so I don’t have to clean up after him or cook proper meals; I’m having a Charlie Bingham curry for lunch 😋
I hope you all enjoy today and the Bank holiday.

Packing for trip to London to see DS tomorrow.
I’ll have to walk the dogs at some point.

Currently having a coffee then we're picking up a cupboard for DH's home office from a local reuse and recycle site. Then someone is collecting a double bed from us which we've given away on the same site.

The rest of the day features TV watching interrupted by ironing followed by reading. I've just started the Wesley Peterson series by Jate Ellis so I'm looking forward to reading all 26 of those over the coming months.

Busy day of nothing very productive here, I think. DH is cutting the grass and I've got some washing to go out when he's finished.

DD1 is coming later for dinner and I'm taxi for DS who has got a party this evening. I've got a few rows to do on a hat that I'm knitting and if I finish that tonight then I've also got a crochet project I'm working on. In my head I've got them both finished by the end of this month and I should be doable but I'm easily distracted.

I should put the hoover round and dust the lounge. We'll see...

I got up about 8, fed the cats, did litter trays, took dh's washing off the airers put the airrs and dehumidifier away, did washing up, have potted up a baby jade plant that has been patiently waiting in a pot of water for (years!) a while which I will take in to the office next week, played with the cats, l tidied up the front room a bit

I'm still waiting for DH to get up...
Though it sounds like he may finally have got out of bed from the foot steps from upstairs...

I've fed the kids and the cat

Emptied and refilled the dishwasher

Put a load in

Done the ironing

Put the clothes away

Washed and folded the towels

Changed the battery in the doorbell

And now I'm going out for lunch at a rather nice pub 😁👍🏻

Got load of washing and housework to do. Went out all day yesterday plus been working nights, so lots to catch up with.

We've decided to leave the sticks for the day and go into London. I have a book of Secret London Walks so we will do one of those and go exploring. We both commuted to London for many years so now like to visit as tourists.

I’ve had a nice lie-in after hosting DH’s friends and their partners for a party yesterday.

Am currently sorting out the DC to go to my parents for the afternoon, then going to try two potential horses with an eye to purchase one. Should be interesting!

Morning, me and DP had a very lazy morning followed by some lovely Morton's rolls. Just got DD back and having a very chilled day after a busy weekend.

I am horribly hungover, stayed out far too late last night and regretting it now so today I am just waiting for bedtime.

@MrsSplendiferous It's this one. We've found some amazing history, parks, churches, museums and pubs tucked away. It's a lovely way to spend a day. Off to Bloomsbury now. It will be exciting to be somewhere with pavements 🤣

I've just hung out a wash load, watered some plants, cursed the damn slugs that have eaten my coleus and topped up the bird table/water. I need to hoover then I might potter and do some weeding. Dh is washing up. We have visitors later. I think 2/3 teens are up.

Sat by a pool in Majorca to finish off the school holidays.
It's the kids splash pool though so lots of squealing and crying, daughter is having fun though that's the main thing.

I'm just about to go out to see my dealer and pick up a couple of grammes and then it's off to the pub for 10 pints watching the football - just because the strip clubs don't open early on a Sunday. Still we'll be in one by about 8 and then its just a matter of managing my bourbon intake against my ability to get up at a reasonable time tomorrow.

Or maybe i'm having a relaxing day at home with a nice meal out this evening😂

DH is at work all day as he is every Sunday. The kids woke up hyper so that was fun while I was trying to strip beds and get us out of the door for church. Got a little stressed at church, we have missed it for most of the summer holidays and it always takes ds2 time to get used to it again. After the service I have taken them to soft play in the hope they burn some energy and behave this afternoon so I can get on with some housework. They also want to watch sing 2 at one point today. At least with soft play while I can hear children everywhere my own are old enough t bugger off and leave me alone for 5 minutes! We are very much getting to the point school can not come round fast enough now.

I'm having my lunch at work, then when I get home in taking the dog and DD3 to the allotment to pick beans and plums.

DS is playing next door.
I'm getting through the washing and the immense amount of washing up.
Will take a break in a minute and watch my guilty pleasure of Australian Masterchef with a coffee.
Trying to decide on what to make for dinner.
