Why are pub/cafe/restaurant tables always wobbly ? I have a knack of finding them. I'm going to start going out armed with folded pieces of paper and beer mats, just in case.

It really irritates me too. Also, why are they so greasy? Surely it's possible to clean a surface with something that actually cleans it. What do they do, just slide a wet cloth over the table? And don't get me started on wobbly tables coupled with pretentious artisan slate slabs instead of plates. But thinking about it, that accounts for the grease issue 😀

Faffing! People who faff on and are just so slow.
Crack on!

Womblealongwithme · 27/08/2022 11:18

Every time I open a packet of tablets like paracetamol or something, the wee leaflet is always folded over the tablets and it REALLY fucking annoys me. I never open the 'right' end. 😂

Or when you try and get one out and it breaks 😐

MrsU2022 · 27/08/2022 11:24

When people are slow to move out the way for emergency vehicles (particularly ambulances! - those seconds could be crucial!)

YesitsBess · 27/08/2022 11:26

Roundabouts. DON’T BOTHER INDICATING! I’LL GUESS!

Is my usual chant.

JenniferAllisonPhillipaSue · 27/08/2022 11:28

Why do people park next to me?
There's a whole empty car park. I'm not parked near the entrance. Why do you have to park right next to me???????

Open the opposite end from the date stamp. 99.99% of the time it'll be the 'right' end.

Mine? People who stop dead in doorways or the top / bottom of escalators. Infuriating.

GoneWithTheWine1 · 27/08/2022 11:30

People who don't understand roundabouts.
I've lost count how many people have gone from the left lane into the middle lane and I've had to slam on the breaks. Angry

People who post their children being unwell on social media.

Attention seekers. That one speaks for itself.

Often with not enough room to even open your door properly! Grrrrr!

thefirstmrsrochester · 27/08/2022 11:35

The supermarket trolley with the dodgy wheel which only manifests when you are a third of your way into your shop. And I always pick that trolley.

Folk who stop dead one step into getting off the escalator at the top of bottom forcing you to slam into their backs.

Facefortheradio · 27/08/2022 11:35

@iklboo well that could be life changing.

You know what’s really annoying? When you already are aware of this and STILL OPEN IT THE WRONG WAY 😂😂

GoneAwolAgain · 27/08/2022 11:37

I was recently sitting in the car in a car park when a car pulled in beside me. Woman hadn't left enough space to get out of her car easily and so starts squirming her way out and huffing and puffing at ME, because I was apparently parked 'too close to the white line'.

Humans! 😂

squashyhat · 27/08/2022 11:37

The paper that birthday cards etc are made of which has a shiny surface. I'm left handed and cannot write a card without it smudging because the ink takes ages to dry. Why not make it more porous so the ink sinks in?

Yes that's literally what they do. I was waiting on a table to be cleaned at a Gail's and watched the staff member just pull out a barely damp j cloth and pass it over the table.

Massiveaggressive · 27/08/2022 11:39

The plastic tab on the highly toxic dishwasher cleaner that you can only rip off by using your teeth …

any excuse to sing this

Massiveaggressive · 27/08/2022 11:41

And Neal Yards packaging - it’s pretty impossible to squeeze the shampoo out of the spouty but so you end up taking the top off so it works but doesn’t look so pretty (which is the whole bloody point)

MummyInTheNecropolis · 27/08/2022 11:42

People who stand on the left hand side of the escalators in the tube station Angry

That would be me sadly Tinker, I am slow with bad coordination and mobility before I has Multiple Sclerosis I was quick at walking, thinking and doing tasks. It annoys me as much as it does you, believe me I hate being like this, I would give anything to go back to my pre-MS life.

MonsterMunchLady · 27/08/2022 11:47

People who go waaaaaay to slow, so something like 15mph in a 30mph zone.

There's a lady on our street who has just passed her driving test at the age of 89. I'm torn between being pleased for her bravery and wanting to tailgate her everywhere because she literally does 10mph down our very wide and spacious 30mph road! 😂

NippyWoowoo · 27/08/2022 11:48

People who block the path (usually in the supermarket) just staring into space and then look completely SHOCKED at human existence when you say 'excuse me'.

See also: people who stand right in front of elevator doors then are ASTOUNDED that there are people waiting to get off and they need to stand back.
