Not trying to get pg but not preventing either.

Period is due on Sunday but this morning I started bleeding. Very very heavy, lots of clots bigger than a 50p, cramps and lower back pain on right side.

I’m normally light bleeding and 2 days max.

i went out tonight and bled through my clothes 😕that’s never happened to me before. I’m on holiday until next week. Anyone any ideas on what this could be?

sorry for the tmi.

An early miscarriage isn’t likely to be much different to a normal period - at this stage it’s also referred to as a chemical pregnancy and most women, unless they took an early pregnancy test and got a positive, wouldn’t know. It’s not dangerous anyway.
It could be that or just an exceptionally heavy period. But if it doesn’t ease up then obviously get in touch with a medical professional. And I think if it happens for each period for a few months it needs investigating. A colleague of mine suddenly got very heavy and debilitating periods, I can’t remember now what it was down to - definitely nothing life threatening or too sinister! - but she had some minor surgery to fix it.

It could potentially be. Most people will tell you an early mc/CP feels like a period, but mine was much more painful and much heavier than my period would have been. I'm sorry if it is. Look after yourself and get plenty of good food and water. If you find you have a heavier than normal period next month, it may be worth speaking to your GP as its not your normal.

Thank you. I’ll keep an eye on it and get some advice from my GP when I get home.
