Just finished reading it and really enjoyed it. Kept me guessing until the end. However, one thing confuses me..

Tate only gave Kya the red hat towards the end of 1969 so he would have known the fibres couldn't have got on the clothes years before so he must have had a suspicion but at the end when he finds the hidden box and poems, it seems that he is shocked. Have I missed something? It doesn't add up.

Just read it this week too!

The point made in court was that the fibres couldn't be dated, while Tate knew the hat was more recent, am guessing he thought they'd been transferred on another occasion.

Loved the book, but have such clear ideas of
what everyone looks like (& seeing how much of the story is internal dialogue), don't think I can watch the film!

@BlueFootedBoob yes I suppose it makes sense that he thought she might still be meeting up with him until his death.

I also wonder if the film will portray what's in my mind. Will be disappointed if Kya looks different to my image of her.
