Please reassure me I'm not pregnant

Didn't want to post this on the pregnancy board in case it upsets anyone hoping for a positive but my rational head has gone and I need reassurance.

Realised yesterday that I've not had a period for a while - when I worked it out it's been 48 days since start of my last one. Took a Clear Blue rapid detect test this morning which was negative after the 3 mins they say to give it. They say discard after 10 - still negative at this point (photo attached). Kept checking because I've worried myself into a frenzy and at about 90 mins post test, there was a blue vertical line halfway from the bottom. So not all the way but meeting the horizontal line. Haven't taken a photo of that one.

What does this mean?! I thought evap lines were colourless?

Surely if it was a very delayed positive, this doesn't match up to how late my period is and would have been quicker and stronger?

Have been very stressed with work recently which may explain the lack of period? Has happened once before a couple of years ago. But why the half line?

Would really appreciate someone thinking more rationally to give their thoughts.

Please reassure me I'm not pregnant

48 days since ur last period… I’d expect a test to turn positive real quick if u were pregnant at this point.

That test is negative to me x

Whataretheodds · 26/08/2022 14:16

Do another test tomorrow with first morning urine.

If you keep testing negative you're not likely pregnant!

BattenburgDonkey · 26/08/2022 14:16

That is a negative test

Just read again and u say u didn’t take a photo of the possibly positive test, sorry. I still think if u were pregnant it would be undeniably positive within the time frame x

Worriedmum40284 · 26/08/2022 14:18

That's what I keep telling myself Sahara - surely it would have turned quickly and strongly? Just got scared by the half vertical line that appeared much later.

I have done those blue dye tests In the past and have faint blue lines when I wasn't pregnant! They are notorious for it. As others have said it should be much darker by now if you were. How long are your cycles usually do you know? X

Worriedmum40284 · 26/08/2022 14:36

Thanks all for your reassurance. My cycles do tend to be quite long anyway - often around days. This is exceptionally long but has happened once before and I used to have very irregular periods years ago as a teenager/early twenties.

I think ur fine, besides the period have u got any other symptoms?

Worriedmum40284 · 26/08/2022 16:02

I don't think so but finding it hard not to keep symptom checking. I had quite a lot of heart palpitations over the weekend which I read can be a pregnancy symptom (but could also be stress). Not sure if my boots are a little sore now but I'm looking for things. And often get that at various points through my cycle anyway.

So can be explained away as other things but then wonder if it's too much of a coincidence and I'm just kidding myself...

Op if you were that late trust me a line would have appeared even before the control line did x

Worriedmum40284 · 26/08/2022 16:59

Thank you sarahc336 x
