Looking for a special/nice dinner near Alton Towers for dinner for DS's birthday. 2 adults 2 children. We are staying onsite but happy to drive 20-30mins for somewhere good. Any ideas?

My family live in Cheshire:

Any of the Paragon group pubs are nice

Depending on DS age, what about the rollercoaster restaurant onsite?

I came on to say rollercoaster restaurant. It's booked up for evening meals but they allow walk ins at lunch service.

Thanks Pip I'll check those out.

I've not heard great things about the food in Rollercoaster restaurant.

DS will be 10 and not overly fussy.

Paragon Pubs are a great group for taking kids, parogongroup.co.uk/ but nice surroundings for adults too!

DB Recommends this place too: www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g1898139-d2201227-Reviews-The_Tavern-Denstone_Staffordshire_England.html

Thanks again Pip - those Paragon group ones look a bit far away but the Plume of Feathers looks excellent. The Bulls Head slightly less excellent but added bonus only 5 mins away 😅
