CV advice

[CanYouStop]

I'm preparing to apply for a new job and need to attach a CV. I haven't had to do this for about 20 years! There's lots of info online of course but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Has anyone got any advice please? Things to do/avoid?

I'm a Speech and Language Therapist applying for a job with a charity. Thank you.

Keep it to 2 pages if at all possible
Target it to each job you're applying to
Personal profile at the top summarising your top qualities and why your applying for the job.
List of 6-8 key skills underneath to sell your strong points

Don't do pages of irrelative stuff. Do your highest qualifications and relative experience. List skills that apply to the job you are applying for and have examples to hand. Get someone you trust to spell and grammar check it
