Evri failed parcel collection return [ What to do?]

neveradullmoment99 · 25/08/2022 18:21

So they were meant to collect a parcel for return [from asos] on Saturday. They did not turn up and haven't turned up. Ive no idea who I contact to return the parcel? Can I take it to a drop off shop?

I work in shop that does takes parcels for evri. If I was you I'd firstly go into the store and ask they if they still have it, ask if they have been having evri collections as yours isn't marked as collected, ask if they have any idea why. It may be that it was picked up without being scanned by the driver for some reason. You can also contact evri for an update with your tracking number

dudsville · 25/08/2022 18:25

Have you tried reorganising the collection? I've never had a delay as long as yours, but I have had delays. It's annoying because otherwise collection is extremely useful.

Thanks for everyones response. I cant reorganise it as it wont let me. I went back on to arrange a pick up again with ASOS but when I key in the order number it says its returned already. I have two parcels to return. Both are packed and ready to return but I have no way of getting in touch with the EVRI courier.

Ive also tried to contact ASOS but they say their chat is busy! I can't find an email address. Its very frustrating.

When we had a Hermes (as they were then) parcel wrongly delivered I couldn’t find a way of speaking to an actual person who understood the issue so I went to a drop off point and begged them to put it in their Hermes box, after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing they agreed.
And then 2 days later the bloody thing turned back up at my house Hmm

Hanstarlucky · 25/08/2022 19:42

I ordered something of pretty little thing. It was meant to be delivered today between 1 and 3pm, got a message to say it’s being delivered tommroe due to a delay 🫣. Sorry I know it’s not helpful to your post it’s just I’ve never dealt with them before and I’m already pissed off, going to an important occasion at the weekend 😓

KateBushyTail · 25/08/2022 19:57

Yes you can drop it off at a parcelshop

LittleLlama · 25/08/2022 19:59

This happened to me but with a Next parcel. The Next system would, however, allow me to reorganise for the next day - not that Evri came then either. I then gave up and returned the item to the Next store.

Good luck with sorting this out.

neveradullmoment99 · 25/08/2022 22:24

EVRI is shocking. I will try the parcel shop if noone turns up tomorrow. Failing that, I will try harder to contact ASOS as it is their problem really [ for using EVRI]

When Evri were Hermes we had a nightmare with them. Saying they had delivered when they hadn't, saying we were out and missed a delivery when they hadn't been, slinging packets over our fence in the rain and once saying there was an incident in our road and they couldn't deliver which was a barefaced lie. The final straw was someone else's parcel with no way of getting it collected until I spotted the useless courier and popped it in his car window.
Most of this was through Next.
I complained to their CEO by email and a lovely complaints manager called me and paid for my last order even though that one had actually been delivered and then swapped me onto DHL which costs more for Next but were 100% more reliable.
We moved house and we're back to Evri again so far so good.

I have regular Next deliveries and returns through Evri. Occasionally it's not collected when someone's on holiday or the route is not covered. I was told it doesn't then continue on the system as still requiring pick up so they don't know. Our Evri courier is great and Next let you book another collection. I'm surprise ASOS won't let you rebook as not everyone returns all the items at the same time.

Just to add the Next system lets me book for weekend collections, even though it's only meant to be Mon-Fri so not really Evri's fault.

The Evri couriers receive a daily manifest and sometimes when there's a glitch the collections don't show up so they don't know about them. Sometimes they show up the next day and sometimes never so I would either try dropping at a parcel shop or contact the vendor as it is their responsibility because they organised the return.

I have contacted ASOS and they have sent out a courier today. I hope they turn up!

Any success @neveradullmoment99 ?

TheWordWomanIsTaken · 27/08/2022 08:16

EVRI are utter shite.
Two deliveries to my house in the last two days, both days two of us at home ALL day.
Both deliveries left outside the house in full view of the street - terraced house in a city.
Delivery driver didn't knock/ring.

Managed to get the courier to collect thanks. They really are the worst courier company though.
Thanks for everyone's comments😊

Glad it got collected OP. All couriers are a lottery these days. They're only as good as your local driver. In my area it's been the same driver for over ten years and they are fab (I have their phone number) but when drivers change often it becomes a nightmare.
