Hi I have seen online GPs recommended on here before but I can't find the post. Please if you know of a good one could you let me know and approximately I should expect to pay. Many thanks

I used Superdrug who were cheap and really efficient.

Are you just looking for a prescription for medication that you've used before? I've just googled the medicine I want and selected an online pharmacy that sells it. I've orders asthma pumps, an eczema cream and some anti-nausea meds, all using different websites.

I can't remember them but the most recent order was from Health Express UK. I just filled in some basic info and ticked some boxes, including whether or not it was something I had been prescribed before. You don't actually have to speak with a doctor, they check the info you've provided and issue the medicine if they feel it's appropriate.

I guess it depends on the type of medication you need, but worth having a check and seeing if it's available for purchase first.

Thanks @nippy.
I may need to speak to a doctor.

I used DocTap and found them good- think they’re only London based, I’m not entirely sure, so apologies if not near where you’re based. Was around £50-£60 for an apt, extremely easy, scheduled at a time to suit me etc etc

Flossflower · 26/08/2022 16:37

Thanks @Bibbetybobbity.
I haven't phoned anyone as I seem to be a little bit better today but I am sure I will need this sometime. I live just outside London,

Is easy to book online @Flossflower and I’m sure the cancellation policy would be clear, so you could even schedule and then cancel if you no longer need in say a week. Hope you carry on feeling better 💐

Isn't Babylon supposed to be one of the best?

AngelaChasesBestLife · 26/08/2022 16:43

I've used DocTap and Babylon. Both have been OK.

All online services usually email the prescription to a named pharmacy of your choice in your area. If this is for women's health especially, there is another site I can recommend.

Bupa will do you a one-off GP appointment. I found them good but expensive (£79 for a 15 minute appointment)

SpindleInTheWind · 26/08/2022 16:50

PlusDoctor (online GP service) appears to prioritise private patients.

Thanks for all the replies. I really do appreciate them. My emergency is over without needing to see a doctor. I have saved all the replies for future use.
