Carpet sweeper

I’m thinking of getting a carpet sweeper to save energy and also as lighter than the Hoover for a quick whip round (I usually Hoover once a week/ fortnite and sweep kitchen floor most days).
should I get a manual one or is the amount of power a rechargeable uses negligible and worth the extra energy usage. I can’t find out how much energy a rechargeable one uses.

Do! I have an old Ewbank that a friend was going to chuck out - a manual, not electric. It’s brilliant for quickly getting all the bits off the carpet without all the faff of getting the heavy vacuum cleaner out. I emptied it yesterday - should have done it sooner, it was packed. Amazing what they pick up!

PS, unless you’re disabled I wouldn’t bother with an electric one. To me the effort of pushing one around is negligible. Mine is very light.

My Nanna swore by her carpet sweeper. Great idea, OP! Might look into one for our house.

I do keep reading good things about them. Do you manage to use it on the stairs?
