Vinted Question

New to Vinted and today received the wrong item from a seller.
They advised labels must have been mixed up when posting and asked me to send on to the right buyer, this buyer will do the same and send me my item.
Seller has agreed to pay postage via PayPal.
My question is, how do I stand if this item doesn't arrive or is faulty? At the moment funds are suspended but I don't know how long for? It's going to be late next week before it's resolved.
Anyone with any previous Vinted experience?

That sounds dodgy to me. I'd contact vinted as you only have 48 hours to do so.

Don’t do it! Sounds very suspect, and Vinted won’t be able to refund you if the second item doesn’t turn up.

I've been in a similar position and happily sent the item back to the seller on the promise that they would refund the postage cost. Once they'd received it they reneged on this promise and despite having the messages where they said they'd refund me, Vinted wouldn't do anything as their policy is that returns are at the expense of the buyer. So I ended up paying 2 lots of P&P for nothing. I couldn't even leave the seller a bad review as they cancelled the order! The price you pay for bargains I suppose, I still love Vinted.

I’ve just had the same thing happen to me. Is it some sort of scam? Seems odd to me, but would people go to all this effort for a few quid?! It’s a kids swimming costume, I got the wrong one and another person has got mine apparently, so she’s asked us to send them to each other and she’ll pay postage via PayPal, but I’ve not received the postage money yet. Not sent the item yet either and still have a day to dispute it on if necessary. What happened with you in the end @wetwiped ?

I don’t think everyone is the same. I have messed up a couple of times now, and haven’t yet come across a seller that wasn’t kind enough to understand. I’ve also been on the other end and the seller has been really helpful. Accidents happen, particularly when you’re not a professional seller and you have two or three packages in one go.

Yes. It all worked out in the end and was an honest mistake by the seller. Can't be too careful though!
