I’ve left small urine patches on bed ??

Sorry to be posting this grossness in chat - doing so for traffic. I’ve name changed and been on MN for years.

I woke up to find a small urine patch on a hotel bed mattress I stayed at last week and was disgusted as I thought it was a mark on there from before. I didn’t complain as I was in a rush to check out.

This morning in my own bed I woke up to find 3-4 small patches. Hasn’t gone through to mattress. I must be peeing in my sleep? I’m horrified! Maybe it’s sweat because the nights were particularly warm but the patches are coloured. I sleep naked.

Has anyone experienced this? I’m late 30s, never had children. Is it incontinence? I noticed my underwear can be clammy when hot (I’ve started wearing liners) but I’ve never noticed peeing or leaking. I haven’t been doing my kegel exercises, which I will resume.

Urine infection? Kegel! Kegel!

KangarooKenny · 24/08/2022 21:26

What colour are the patches ? Could it be blood ?

Antarcticant · 24/08/2022 21:26

Could it be sweat rather than wee?

Kanaloa · 24/08/2022 21:30

Could you sleep one night in undies and a pad? It might be easier to see what it is on a pad the next morning. I’m not sure what to suggest for it though, but obviously the key is finding out what it actually is.

Sweat looks pee coloured on bedding.

It could be very slight incontinence don't worry it's absolutely normal. Something that small you can get away with wearing pantie liners or sanitary towels.

If it gets worse you can buy discreet pads for night time. (I'm a carer I see this all the time)

If you're worried just speak to the nurse at the doctors surgery she'll give you some advice. And do some pelvic floor exercises. This will help tighten and tone muscles. Regardless if you have kids or not downstairs muscles weaken as we age.... I have 1 little boy and I'm in my early 30s I have to wear night pads as I leak. The joys of getting older.

But don't be embarrassed it really is so common. X

It’s urine coloured, not blood. It’s either urine or sweat. Maybe sweat mixed in with some of a self tan on my upper thighs?

If it was urine you'd be able to smell it. Sweaty self tan is my bet

Strangerkid · 24/08/2022 21:46

legalseagull it doesn’t smell

Minge mist I’ll bet

ShirleyPhallus · 24/08/2022 21:49

In all seriousness, when my tan gets about a week old it starts flaking off and if I’m sweaty it rubs off on clothes and bedding there

Strangerkid · 24/08/2022 21:52

Yes it’s around a week old !

I had this recently, it was the week I was quite unwell with covid. Not sure if it was coincidental.

Wet urine looks no different to water on a sheet. I cant really understand what you are describing.
