How old is too old to share a bath?

I’ve got a girl and a boy, they’ve always shared a bath and are happy to continue, but I’m starting to wonder how old the eldest needs to be to stop them sharing? I want to make sure I allow them their own privacy, but don’t want to make it an issue and I think I’ve started to over think it 🤦🏼‍♀️ How old were yours when they stopped sharing? At what age is it ‘inappropriate’?

I think they'll probably start being cramped before it starts being inappropriate. My boys are 6 and 2 and it's starting to get a bit tight for them to share a bath and have space to play with toys.

@Camomila mine are similar ages, but they tend to sit sideways and play, so there’s loads of space. Their cousin was in with them a few weeks ago (they were in swimsuits, they were playing diving) and they all fit quite comfortably

I have a boy and girl, they still sometimes share but eldest now often prefers to shower or bathe on his own (almost eight).

If I get out the slime bath though he'll jump right in with her without a care in the world though!

My DD decided herself at around 8 that she didn't want to share anymore but her DB was 3, if they were closer in age it may have happened sooner. Same sex maybe later... I don't think there's a 'correct' age as long as the children are happy.

About 7 if they're opposite sex.

Mine are 7 and 10 and share if they feel like it but they are the same sex. It is a fairly large bath though and I discourage it as their games = water everywhere!
