Cheapest iPhone with a good camera

I changed from an iPhone a few years ago and got a Motorola. The camera is absolutely useless. With my iPhone I could point and go and get really good results. All I get with this phone are a blurred, weirdly coloured mess. The camera is the main thing I want another iPhone for. I just use the phone for usual stuff - WhatsApp, email, surfing . I'm not into music, games , films etc. Does anyone know which older/cheaper models have good cameras? I was looking at the SE but the camera wasn't rated. I want the oldest one poss with the highest spec camera. Would be grateful for any advice.

I have the iPhone mini 13 and the camera is amazing, but the mini 12 is meant to be very very good too. I also got it because i wanted a good camera but a phone that isn't too big. I'm in love with it!

Thanks so much . I'd also like a smaller phone as my hands are small and it would also be easier to get in bags/pockets than the one I've got now. I'll go check the 13 mini . I was also wondering if anyone has the 11 and what the camera on that is like.

Thanks. I had the older SE and loved the size but found the camera not great in low light. Night shots all had halos round lights . It was great in good daylight conditions indoor and out though. How do you rate the camera on the latest version in less than great light conditions?

I had the old SE and upgraded to the SE 2020. It's excellent for what it is. The camera is really good. It's not as good as my son's iPhone 12 camera but still, it is a very good camera. Lovely phone. Perfect for me.

I have an 11 Pro, LOVE the camera. The extra 2x zoom lens compared to the regular 11 is a huge plus for me and probably the one I use the most! I got mine pre-owned on Music Magpie for around £400.

BearSoFair. I’m more or less decided on an 11 now. I’ve put myself off the SE after a few YouTube reviewers confirmed my feeling that the camera is ok in optimal conditions, but low light, bright sun light can really bring out its weakness. The old SE I had was hopeless in low light . Glad you are so pleased with your 11 pro. £400 is a really good price too.

You definitely need the 11 or up.

Do not get the SE2020. Worst iphone ever. Terrible battery.

You need the iPhone 11 Pro if buying refurbished or the SE 2022 (note that model not the 2020) and you’ll never go wrong.
