Southern fried chicken and chips tonight, kids at activities easy to bung in oven

Chilli and jacket potatoes

BBQ - chimichurri steak, crispy potatoes and rocket salad, marinated chicken for the kids

Something mexican - probably burritos

Sunday - really fancy a roast dinner as havent had it for months - crispy pork belly. If it's still hot here I might try it on the BBQ as my kitchen is tiny and hotter than hades with the oven on.

I finally have a fridge three weeks after moving into my new home, so maybe a big salad with lots of olives and spicy hummus and salted caramel ice cream for pudding. I have eaten my last pot noodle for a long time!

It was actually a recipe I saw on TikTok and I’ve not made it before so I can’t promise it’ll be nice! But it’s basically a chicken risotto using peri seasoning to cook the chicken and then adding a tin of chopped tomatoes and Nando’s sauce in with the stock. She then added some cooked halloumi on top to serve.

Finally decided on tonight's dinner. We have some Lidl bratwursts in the freezer so I am going to drag these out and have them in hotdog buns for the Dcs with fries, fresh cucumber and sweet corn. I will have mine with boiled potatos, dill, sweetcorn and pickles. DH is out for dinner with a friend so he is sorted.
