Declaring income to universal credit.

Just got my tax rebate from last financial year, not much but still nice. Do I need to declare this to UC for income purposes. Will HMRC do it? I’m on a temp contract till End September so if I do need to declare it I’d rather wait tillOctober and make use of that months work allowance. I have a new job lined up but get paid a month in arrears.

I would message on your journal and ask. Just to keep yourself right

I sent them a message and they replied saying basically thanks but we’ll wait to hear from HMRC. That was 16 months ago, I’ve sent them a few chaser messages since then as I want to be able to show I’m blameless, but still not had a deduction for it so you might be lucky like me 🤞
