Gov childcare account question

My son is starting with his childminder in a few weeks and I've had the invoice from her. I've went onto my childcare account and deposited money to it via bank transfer with the details given. The money has been taken from my bank but is not showing up in my childcare account. It says 'there's no money in this account'. Just a bit concerned as I heard it shows up immediately even if you can't send the payment to childminder immediately. Does anyone who uses this know if it takes a while or should be instant?

Mine shows up within 24h but not immediately. Check again later?

If you've done it by bank transfer it usually takes a couple of hours, card payments can take up to 2 days. My bank transfers have never shown up instantly.

As long as you've put your account reference in when you made the payment it'll be there soon 😊

Thanks. It's been a few hours and still not there so I'll check in the morning and fingers crossed it'll be there.

The first one I sent took several days to clear but now it’s much quicker. I believe it’s normal for the first payment to take up to a week

Just checked again before bed and it's there with the added on 20% from the government thankfully. I always worry a bit sending over large payments!
