When there are terrible gun related deaths

Like the ones in Liverpool, why don't police and government take the opportunity to point out that if you use recreational drugs you are supporting the trade that causes all this.

Why is there no attempt to make nice middle class drug use socially unacceptable and protect the communities so badly affected?

That seems a fair point. I don't know. A combination of cowardice and ignorance I'd imagine.

Because they all do it themselves?

I think it's because it's so prolific. As I said on the other thread I've seen some sights growing up but was far more shocked seeing uni peers taking drugs & then when I went to work seeing managers taking drugs as if it was nothing.
There's also a privilege that many white middle class drug users don't expect to get caught or if they do a slap on the wrist.

The other thread that has gone because of "speculation".

Yes I imagine so. MN will take down a thread from worried people in the communities affected.
