Hello I am doing a shop and I am looking for a smooth red wine.

Any ideas

Barefoot Merlot or Malbec (blue or green label).

Apothic, not the cabernet. Mega fruity too.

Another vote for Jam Shed

I also like the yellowtail Shiraz and merlot, but my guilty pleasure is blossom hill soft and fruity. It’s very smooth, easy drink. Best drunk young, I buy from the supermarket with a high turnover, I’ve had a couple of dusty bottles from corner shops and they seem to go acidic with age.

Depends how much you want to spend.
Chateauneuf du Pape can be found in most supermarkets but is about £18.
Campo viero Rioja as previously mentioned is lovely and about £10.
A good chianti classico is probably more fruity at £8.
Any St Emilion should be good.

Prophecy Malbec, currently £8 on Ocado

Hardys stamp, think it was Shiraz. I got a crate of the Porto after it was recommended a few years ago, didn’t think it was all that.
