Looking for a book with only vague details

I'm in a bit of a nostalgic easy reading stage at the minute after a busy year. I have a book I read years ago that I want to re-read but I only remember vague details and have had little success finding it.
The main character is a female, spoiled and spiteful. She breaks up her single fathers relationships maliciously. I believe she planted drugs on one. Her mother died in child birth or shortly after.
Her father finally kicks her out and she ends up living with someone she was awful to at school. I believe it's set in London.

Its very much a Jane Green/Marian Keyes type of book but I just can't seem to find it. Any help much appreciated

Giving this a nudge as we are in November and I am still yet to find this book!

I remembered the girl ended up living with her friend in the "shoe room" of her tiny flat. Eventually she works things out with dads girlfriend and they get back together. It was all an elaborate plot to get her to grow up and take ownership of her life.

did she go back to a tiny Irish island? & get left there? sounds like something by lucy foley or anither newish female author...

pinkberet · 01/11/2022 16:58

@mattcockhand I'm afraid not. She moved in with a girl she bullied at school

Is it “chasing harry winston”?

blackberrybat · 01/11/2022 17:03

I feel like this could be a Jane Green but it was set in the US. Maybe the Patchwork Marriage?

DutchessOfMuck · 01/11/2022 17:04

Did she end up marrying a sculptor/photographer?

pinkberet · 01/11/2022 17:05

@Ageneralsenseofproundconcern thanks for trying but it's not
