School in the 1970s

Was chatting to a friend who also went to school in the 1970s. We agree they were quite different to now. Anyone else go to school then?

And yes, I still want to tell DS (4) "up and down and round and flick!" But I don't because I did it once and he got really confused Grin

It was definitely the 70’s - I was there.

It taught you how to write your alphabet.

Very traditional primary school abroad.
uniform dress with red checkered pattern
went barefoot much of time
desks in straight lines.
‘sit up straight class’
corporal punishment hand or slipper
hot classroom with fans on
special friends
lovely teacher who took us for picnics on lawn

That’s awful @ILoveAllRainbowsx we didn’t have that at Primary School, but it went on at Secondary.
