Just that really. I feel overwhelmed. I have someone who can stay two nights a week but that’s it.

That's more than most single mums.

It's scary but you just make do.

I've been completely on my own with zero "in person" support since I was pregnant. It's really really tough sometimes but there are so many positives. You can do it, Mumsnet was often my saviour in the middle of a looonnng night, there's always someone around here to listen or a completely bonkers thread to make you laugh when you feel like the only person in the world. I repeat, you can do this!

I bet you are. It's understandable. But, you'll make it through. You'll soon find your routine and, while it won't be easy, it'll be doable.

You'll be absolutely fine.

You have all of us, day or night, and you have 111 for anything medical.

Just make sure you have enough wipes and nappies, and formula if applicable. A charged phone and food for you.

Run your day however works for you. There are lots of books on how 'it should be' but really it's about meeting your and your baby's needs. Sleep when you can, nest if you want to, don't worry about the housework, it'll keep. These days are precious, they pass really quickly so enjoy them if you can. Good luck xx

You will be fine I was single with a newborn (he left me when I was pregnant) and 3 other kids, I had no one to stay I was totally alone so I agree it’s more than what most single mums have
