My neighbour just got a load of fresh sockeye salmon, more than she can store, so justed gifted me a 7 lb fish! And already cleaned even!
Another neighbour waters our plants whenever we are away, without us having to ask.
I have lived places with not so great people around, so I really appreciate having neighbours I get on with.

I thought seeing as there always seem to be shitty/crazy/cheek fucker next door threads, it would be nice to have one for the good guys.

My neighbour was lovely. She could always make me laugh and we used to get in my car and take trips to the seaside. She had a stroke and fell down the stairs and died. I really miss her.

I'm sorry to hear that @Flowersintheattic57 , though she does sound like she was great neighbour

My neighbour is ace. She bakes cakes and leaves them in the porch, brings over plants that she's potted up and looks after our pets when we go on holiday. My cat lives between our houses and has a bed and treats at her house. She has a spare key for my house and lets the kids in after school if they have forgotten theirs.

She quite often comes with me, kids and dog on 6 mile long walks and I love chatting to her. She's 78 and is an absolute wealth of knowledge and great company. We are always happy to fix her laptop or help her out with her smartphone.

I love my next door neighbour. He's in in late eighties and quite unwell the last 12 Months.

I do his front garden for him and various other bits and pieces.

I think his mind is getting a bit fuddled now due to his medication. He never forgets my Dd on her birthday or Christmas he always gives her a box of chocolates.

He's dead funny to talk to.

I will really miss him when it's his time. He's been saying for the last few years this is his last Christmas. I well up just thinking about it.

His life has been fascinating.

We love our neighbours! On one side they have young kids the same age as ours and we hang out, the other side has teenage kids - we also hang out but their kids also babysit for us. They're all lovely and we all often chatting into the evening together enjoying a glass of something.
