Hi there- DH went to HCFS this year and found a gazebo he loved - apparently it looked really lovely in real life and everyone was stopping to look at it. He took a pic but didn’t get any details of the exhibitor and really wants to track them down. It was in a stalls area he thinks near Ditton Gate. Pic attached.
If anyone has any ideas as to who might own this gazebo and was exhibiting it please help us! Thanks

Does the list of exhibitors help?

I'm pretty sure he could knock that up at home , few wooden struts and some correlated iron sheets

Newsernames · 22/08/2022 00:17

@Catzpyjamas thanks I did send him that before thread but he says it hasn’t helped…..
@hattie43 yes totally but apparently there was something about it IRL that was amazing and magical etc

The thing with the corrugated iron roof? He wants that?

Pinkdelight3 · 22/08/2022 19:41

I clicked expecting something lovely... are you joking? I think the exhibitor must be Steptoe & Son!

Floweryflora · 22/08/2022 19:41

Op is this sone form of joke?

Scrowy · 22/08/2022 19:42

This is hilarious. Who knew the ramshackle leantoo sheds that look almost exactly like that on our farm are actually fancy garden items. Instead of knocking them down and selling them for scrap I might pop them on facebay instead!

Grin

this is a joke right? Someone isn't seriously planning to pay good gardening money for someone else to chuck up a bit of corrugated tin and a few uprights? This thread is to prove this to your husband without trying to bias the outcome yeah?

Think it is to display the animal sculptures, like and old manger or something.

honestly even I could knock that up.

im guessing the op is joking.

The photo isn’t conveying its amazing magical properties 😂

LidlCinnamonBun · 22/08/2022 19:53

It looks shit.

fluffiphlox · 22/08/2022 19:55

‘Gazebo?’

Glitterbiscuits · 22/08/2022 19:57

Made by the same company that made the Marble Arch Mound

Caroffee · 22/08/2022 20:04

Haha yes, this is definitely a joke. OP has disappeared ...

Tashface · 22/08/2022 20:12

Isn't it the white gazebo in the background?

Floweryflora · 22/08/2022 20:19

What gazebo on thr background? Do you mean the bog standard exhibitor tents?

Smidge001 · 22/08/2022 20:20

Has to be a joke, it looks awful Grin

Tashface · 22/08/2022 20:55

@Floweryflora oh, is that what that is? I obviously don't know much about what gazebos look like Grin

SplendidUtterly · 22/08/2022 20:59

It even looks rusted!

Yes those are tents. 😂

this pic attached is a gazebo.

I think for some very odd reason the op thinks she’s being funny, that looks like an exhibit of (rather fabulous) driftwood animal sculptures and clearly that’s a rustic animal shelter they have knocked up to add to the aesthetic, and they’ve used it to house the info on the artist/sculptures and it's why folks are stopping.

such an odd thing to find funny though.

@Floweryflora that’s a really horrible take. You realise this is chat? I don’t “think I am funny”. I can only take DHs word for it that honestly apparently this iron gazebo thing was part of the exhibit, it was a thing you could buy, it looked amazing in real life, lots of people there thought it was great and he wants to buy one!
Very funny replies though but I am sad that this gazebo has defeated the hive mind!

You think it looks lovely now - just wait til its worn in and dappled sunlight is shining through the rust holes 😙👌

Floweryflora · 22/08/2022 23:28

Sorry op if you’re being serious, you don’t need to take his word for it, not at all, you can look at the picture and make your own mind up like everyone else,

if the pair of you like that and want it in your garden and to sit under it, and can’t knock it up yourselves, for whatever reason, fhen just email the organisers and ask. They will be able to tell quickly.

Or contact a local carpenter , he or she would be able to knock it up quickly and cheaply, plus source sone rusty corrugated iron for you both.

it’s very like our overflow wood store my husband and his brother built, took them about a day, wasn’t a big job, but they had to cut all the wood to size etc, The only difference is the roof on ours is green corrugated bitumen as we wanted it to blend in, rusty corrugated iron isn’t our thing, but we all have different tastes, and I’d clearly not consider sitting under it..🤷‍♀️

anyway, ask the organisers or contact a local carpenter.
