I’d quite like to be on a cold case unit, going back over evidence and trying to find things that may have been overlooked, or only seemed important with hindsight or with the benefit of more recent events etc.

I’ve got some very relevant skills, though have never been a police officer, which might rule me out.

also, at 55 I reckon I’m the perfect age for it!

Alternatively, I’d love to be the person who reads manuscripts and decides which ones to publish. Particularly children’s books.

When I’ve watched the Australian/NZ programs about Customs/border patrol and seen the staff careful opening up packages they are suspicious about, I always think “I’d love to do that”.

Work with animals. I do it on a voluntary part time basis and it’s so much better than the paid office job dealing with the public.

Costume designer. Would love researching the historical clothes in particular, getting inside a character & deciding what s/he would wear.
