Hi all!

I'm struggling to think of something for a 25th Wedding Anniversary (this week) presents for my mum and dad (bar the usual chocs and flowers)

Already done the likes of afternoon tea/stay over somewhere so nothing like that.

Suggestions welcome!! Grin

Engraved glassware? Eg vase, stemware

Family photo shoot with picture in a silver frame?
Rose/clematis/camelia plants have a "silver wedding" version.

24th anniversary is silver. What kind of things do they like?

Whataretheodds · 21/08/2022 11:36

25th not 24th!

I would prefer a silver wedding rose to a silver trinket or photo frame.

I'd also appreciate a something like silver Patron Tequila

Anniversary rose / apple tree / silver birch - always goes down well in our family :)

A weekend away in a hotel somewhere like Bath or Cambridge?

I love the idea of a photo shoot from a PP, that's lovely.

Gift card for local restaurant / cinema
Natiional trust membership
Annual pass for local attractions they like

We had our 25th last year, we didn’t expect or want gifts from our adult kids. A card was fine for us, and there were flowers too , which was lovely.

I may be unusual though in thinking that anniversaries are for the couple to celebrate!

My parents didn't expect us to get them any gifts but they were quite surprised and happy to find out we've booked a restaurant for them (it was a 20th anniversary) and made a custom photo book with family photos starting with our g g grandparents pictures. Many of those pictures came scratched and with worn-out corners originally, so we digitized them, restored and colorized via Photoglory then reprinted again. The thing here is that while those photo restoration programs are easy, you'll need time to do everything properly, so it wont work as a last minute gift, but you can think of
it if there is still time.

We're the same. I was just thinking earlier that I can't remember doing anything much for our Silver Wedding.
