Croissant dough I think

JohnsShirt · 20/08/2022 19:46

They are croissants I think.

NoSquirrels · 20/08/2022 19:46

Yes, not pastry but dough.

Here’s a recipe if you’re trying to re create it at home - much quicker to go to the shop though!

Ok… is that a quick cook dough?

Reason being that DH has just very industriously made a Gousto pastry dish. But instead of using the Gousto puff pastry he has used the Jus Roll p-a-c dough. I only noticed when I saw the little packet of chocolate sticks on the counter.

if he had used the puff pastry it says to cook for 20 mins.

if we put this pie in for 20 mins would it burn?

maybe we should do it low and slow?

For all that is laminated please let it be a pudding he's making Wink

Yum! Croissant topped pie Grin

Is the pie filling already cooked? If so it only needs to heat through and the topping to cook. So you’d be fine just keeping an eye on it at a slightly lower temp, but not by loads.

tattychicken · 20/08/2022 19:57

The PAC take about 8-10 mins to cook so it might be a bit burnt?

YumEitherWay · 20/08/2022 19:58

Spanakopita!

we popped it in at a lower temp and it looks great to be fair.

phew!

Why would he do that?

ColonelCarter · 21/08/2022 17:31

How did it taste?

user73783 · 21/08/2022 17:42

I use croissant jus rol dough for a savoury dish (chicken, garlic, cheese and broccoli stuffed parcels) honestly delicious! It's an American recipe and I admit to having no issues mixing sweet with my savoury!
