How quick does your hair grow?

Watching some Brad Mondo videos, (hairdresser ) and there are people cutting their own hair.

Some of them have the most beautiful thick long hair and they cut it off without a care in the world. My hair doesn't grow fast or thick or long, I'm lucky to get a few cm a year.

How long / quickly does your hair grow?

During Covid (2020) I started to take vitamin and iron tablets and my hair/nails seem much stronger as a result. My hair now grows at least a couple of cm each month. My hair is naturally quite thick and unruly.

My mum has lovely soft, glossy and straight hair and her hair doesn’t grow so fast. I think she is quite lucky.

Tried for ten years to grow mine. Barely got to my shoulders so I gave up and had it cut short.

I had mine dyed at the hairdresser before going on holiday. Three weeks later, the grey is about 13mm long.

But it won't grow to shoulder length any more, it just falls out before then. So the longer strands look straggly like rats' tails. It's fine too so I keep it shorter length to disguise that.

Way too fast! But it's mostly genetics I think.

But another important part of growing out hair is not damaging it so the length remains and doesn't break off/split.

Nearly an inch a month, so I have it cut & coloured every 5 weeks.

Watching the length of my grey roots emerging over lockdown was a joy 😄

This is 8 months

Not very fast, I had it pixie cropped, including shaved around my ears, at the start of May (Hasn't been cut since as my hairdresser went on mat leave at the end of May. Lazy me can't be bothered to find someone for the time being) My ears aren't quite covered yet, so about 25mm in 3 almost 4 months?

Incredibly fast, so do my finger and toenails, which is quite annoying as I have to cut them so often. I love Brad Mondo!

1-2 cm a month.

I used to go to the hairdressers and basically have it cut from long to short once a year or so, now I just cut it at home much more regularly and maintain the same length.

My hair is soo slow to grow! Last had highlights done may 2018, the roots are about ear length now, so its grown about 6 inches in 4 years!!! My SILs is complete opposite, in the space of a year it goes from chin length to bum length!
