Help, what’s wrong with me?

Been feeling a bit ‘odd’ last couple of days, spoke to GP on Wednesday who said it was most likely stress and anxiety and a bit of a viral ear infection or a vestibular migraine .

I’m absolutely exhausted, very dizzy but now also have GI symptoms (vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain), swollen glands and a fever on and off . Zero appetite at all .

Spent most of the last 3 days in bed .

I had covid back in June, this feels vaguely similar but not quite the same - covid I had fever of 39 and thought I was dying , this isn’t quite as extreme, but still not right and not sure what it could be? Can stress cause this many issues?

In my experience, stress can do all sorts of strange things to your body and mind. As can viruses.

The best thing to do is to try and rest, stay hydrated, and eat simple, nutritious food when you feel hungry. Try to move about though, if you feel able, as staying in bed all the time can make you feel worse. If it's nice you could try and sit outside for a while, or just go for a very short walk, or stretching/yoga if you like that. You will need to build up to this if you're feeling very exhausted and nauseous currently.

I hope you're feeling better soon, just take your time, and try to address the source of your stress when you feel up to it Flowers

While I agree that stress can cause many issues, u do think yours sounds more like that. Perhaps a bug or a virus, or yes covid again. Have you done a test? Hope you feel better soon

Have you done a covid test?

But, yes, stress can do odd things to the body as I found in 2018 myself. Kept stress levels low ever since!

Just posted on another thread where they had similar symptoms, I had COVID a few weeks ago and this is how I felt a few days in.

Probably just a bug - everyone gets symptoms like this occasionally. Just need to rest for a few days, because minor ailments really are just that..... minor!

Can you do a Covid test?

DS and I both have Covid at the moment, both for the 2nd time, and both completely different to last time.

To be honest it’s starting to feel not dissimilar to Covid . Nearly fainted in the shower . Away back to bed feeling miserable . I’ve managed to at least eat three slices of toast and a boiled egg .

I had covid in June and have been rather blithely assuming I wouldn't get it again so soon... Do let us know if it turns out to be covid, 😒

And get well soon💐

My DS had all your symptoms and it was Covid although he did take 3 days to show positive
My middle DS has also just recovered from his 3rd dose of it
I hope you feel better soon
My DS's have had all doses and boosters too
