Fever gone for 3 days, mild cold symptoms but invited out today. Guidelines say after day 5 all OK? I think. WWYD

Go out. But I wouldn’t have tested in the first place… vast majority of people have now had Covid or are triple vaccinated

Stay isolated until you are testing negative. Thanks for being responsible thus far! It really helps keep people like my dad safe :)

We had someone at a workshop (I zoomed in) last week that had covid early the week prior, she was still testing positive but there are no rules about travelling and attending. She wore a mask (most of the time) during the workshop. 7 of the 15 attendees (and three of their family members) are now positive/off sick. They were all in a really awkward position of travelling to the week long workshop and not really having a choice about being in a crowded room with sometime known to still be testing positive.

If you can avoid busy places I would, and pre warn people you are meeting so they can make their own decisions.

Ask whoever has invited you out if they are happy for you to go?

I wanted to canvas opinions before I told them, so it was a bit clearer in my mind. Didn't want to just give them the pressure/ responsibility.

I think I will tell them that I am erring to stay home and see what they say.

Re the workshop PP, they may have caught it from her or someone else. 🤷‍♀️ no idea where I caught it. Ib public somewhere, which after 2 years and quadruple vax seems a bit wishy washy. That is the problem with this bloody virus.

Perhaps, it was someone else at the workshop who didn't know, but still most likely to be someone in the team at the workshop as they have all started dropping like flies over the last few days.

They are insisting we go. So all good. Their rationale is that loads of people have it, barely anyone tests and at least we know where I am in the cycle

That’s selfish and is one of the reasons covid is still rife 2.5 years later

Suzy14837 · 20/08/2022 13:21

Go out for walks etc but avoid socialising or sitting near people.
If you must go somewhere indoors, wear an FFP2 mask and avoid lingering in the same space as others.
^ This, because I'm a considerate human being, don't want to make anyone seriously ill or ruin their holiday plans; I can work from home if I need to.

However, DD is asked to go into work (masked) with Covid, if she feels well enough (hospitality / food).

For goodness sake, just stop testing! Go out and get on with your life.
