Paris boutique hotel

I am planning to take my mum and ds (11) to Paris in the early autumn.

Can anyone recommend a lovely, not too big hotel / boutique hotel to stay? Which areas are nice to stay in?

And what would you recommend to do in 2 days? We'll have 2 nights and 2 days. Will definitely visit the Eiffel Tower and Louvre but other than that I'm not sure?

Any cafes or restaurants that are especially nice or interesting?

Thank you @user1471446478

Looking at prices 😱it is rather out of my league.

Would ideally look for lovely and affordable places.

I haven’t stayed there for a few years, but this was always my go-to Paris hotel:

It’s in the Marais, so close to loads of lovely shops, restaurants and museums.

We stayed here a few years ago and it was amazing. Next to the Paris Ritz and used to the offices for chanel. Am sure you could find a great deal www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g187147-d188739-Reviews-Castille_Paris-Paris_Ile_de_France.html#/media/188739/153553486:p/?albumid=101&type=0&category=101

Stayed here a few years ago for the marathon - close to the airport bus stop, quite teeny and very cute, very Parisian, friendly people (they put on an early breakfast for marathoners!), great location
