Best way to get to Coldplay Glasgow

So I’m taking DD & friend to see Coldplay Hampden Park next week as a pre GCSE results treat. Naively thought I would just drive up & park at stadium….

haven’t been to a pop concert for about 15 years.

So, that seems impossible - can’t park at stadium or around it. read online that a lot of people walk from central Glasgow, fine on the way there, but back….?

will finish too late to get train home to North England so will have to park somewhere & drive back.

There are some online ads for parking, but no idea if they are genuine or a scam.

Anyone have any ideas? Tia

I've been to hamden a few time. You can walk there and back. It's a bit of a trek though or alternatively there is a bus company that do shuttle runs to and from the city center. I'm sure they are called happy bus. Think it was about £8 return when we seen Calvin Harris
I think we also got trains when we seen Beyonce but I remember it being an absolute ballache

Thanks so much that helps. Just wondering if ther’s somewhere obvious to park in thr city centre or nearby that we could then walk to after the gig.

Traffic will be standstill after the gig, you would be quicker walking. We walked after a recent gig and we were home before a friend who drove even got out on a bus.

Have you looked on the JustPark app?

Following, as we are also going and looking to drive home after. We live 3.5hrs away so no idea what Glasgow is like or where we will park.

Check where the train from the nearest station goes to. It may go to somewhere on the outskirts of Glasgow with parking options.

Local station is Mount Florida.

You'll get parked outside the permit zone within a 15 min walk. Or try a parking app - plenty of my neighbours have registered their driveways. The going rate is £20.

If you Google Cathcart Old Parish Church you'll find on street parking around there.

We went to a concert not long ago and parked on a street about 5-10 mins walk away on the South side of the stadium. Plenty of space but took a while to leave with all the traffic.
Alternatively get the train from Glasgow Central to Mount Florida (check they are running both ways first, they finished at 8.30 when we were there due to staffing issues) or Happy Bus run buses from and to Glasgow Central

Park outside St Mirin’s primary school. It’s then a 10 minute walk.

Thanks so much all. I’ll try for a parking spot first and then trains etc. want to make it easy for thr girls with results thr next day.
