Kids convinced me to take them to subway today. I have no idea how the price was decided. Does anyone know please?

It depends on the sub you order, different sizes and fillings are different prices, plus there are meal deals if you want to add on drinks, crisps, cookies etc.

Yeah my kids just want a random selection of meat, I forced them to pick one off the board after the woman said it was £1.50 for 3 slices of salami if they had chicken

The sandwiches are priced per agreed option on the display board.

If you freestyle it and just pick random ingredients then I imagine they charge per meat/filling.

Let's be honest they just make it up as they go along. One day you'll pay a fiver and a week later you'll pay £6.70 for the same meal.

Subway my guilty pleasure.
Meatball sub with all the salad options & southwest sauce...yum.

I agree with this.

Same thing for my son cost me 2.99 one week then 5.74 the next week 😐

She would have been charging you for a chicken sub. The because you wanted salami on it too that would mean she had to charge you for the extra meat as it's not a normal advertised sandwich. Same if you wanted extra cheese you pay extra. Next time check the board and pick one of their sandwiches and then whatever salad you want is free.

Yeah last time I let them go in (about a year ago) the bloke told me he'd programme them in a different way to what they'd said to make it cheaper. I'd just like a clear price list rather than "spicey Italian"

Do they no longer do a "meat feast" or whatever?! It's been years since I had a subway but I remember all veggies etc being included along with cheese on top of your "order".

fufflecake · 19/08/2022 20:15

Yeah ita annoying but you're best off asking for like a 3 meat one without 2 of the meats sometime!

MargotMoon · 19/08/2022 20:16

Spicy Italian will have a price on the board though?

Yes it was. I forced Dd to have that (without knowing what was in) rather than her saying what meats she wanted

It annoys me that the prices vary from store to store, but I love a subway.

VladsPants · 21/08/2022 11:39

Do they have an app for ordering? This is my solution to such issues.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 21/08/2022 11:42

much more than you think it will be!
