Train from Stevenage to York

How us the journey? I know the duration is 2.30 hrs - is it scenic? Will an 8 year old be interested? Also ate there many tunnels to pass?

I've was on that route on Monday. It wasn't bad but the more northerly sections from Edinburgh to Durham are more dramatic. Which I appreciate doesn't probably help you!

Best train journey this year (apart from one skiing in Switzerland) was St Andrews to Edinburgh. It had it all - beaches, sea, islands, Murrayfield stadium, Forth Bridge and to top it all, one section at the end of the runway at Edinburgh airport. Bloody brilliant.

Pretty dull tbh. North of York, especially Northumbrian coastline is more interesting.

It's mostly through Lincolnshire farmland, isn't it? So mostly flat and boring.
