Really fed up on hols

I'm on hols and whilst there have been bits of fun, I'm feeling exhausted and really down today. Had a lie in at holiday house which was nice but then I felt guilty we weren't up and at 'em. My kids have an activity this afternoon which they'll like but I secretly (on here) can wish I was on a beach or by a pool reading my book while kids swim (they're old enough not to need lots of supervision)
This is VERY first world selfish moan of me I know. Please don't give me shit. Just make me feel better if you're not having a #blessed holiday either ?

I'm nearly halfway through a 2 week holiday having just told DH a couple of weeks ago that I want to separate and divorce. It is shit

Sometimes you look forward to being on holiday so much and when you get there its all a bit of a drag and you wish you were on a different holiday or even back at home. But we are conditioned to think a holiday is the answer. It often isn't.

@Invasionofthegutsnatchers I'm glad for your children they're enjoying it and you're very admirable for still going. Well done for riding above it and allowing them the holiday.
We abandoned ship tonight as hotel we'd booked into was rammed with a wedding/ dog barking in room opposite us (? Surely you aren't meant to leave them) and not allowed to go swimming in pool as we hadn't prebooked a slot. We drove home and I got my dog back from boarders and having cuddles and Chianti on my own sofa before work shit starts all over again 🙄

Well, what does it mean, to you? What or who is a Karen?
