French Wines! Recommendations needed!

Finally on holiday in the Vendee, and the plan was to try different bottles each night to see what we like, with the winner x 20 coming home at the end of the fortnight.

We're 2 nights in and I'm overwhelmed at the choices! I prefer white, and not too heavy, and I'm not a fan of "oak-ey" wines.

So what gems would you suggest we road test whilst sitting outside our tent?

Nearly all my favourites have been covered but Pinot Gris hasn't yet.

Sancerre.

chablis or petit chablis if you like fresher and lighter white!
When the sun is out you can't drag me away from my French rose though...!

I like a muscadet and also picpoul de Pinet. I have also very much enjoyed côtes de Gascogne.

Bourgueil and Saumur Champigny for reds
Any sparkling white from the Loire

It sounds heretical, but Lidl do very good local wines but with a fairly limited choice
