Holiday reading for 5 year old

Our lovely neighbours are off on a well deserved holiday in a few days. They have a DD aged 5, who is a total hoot, and very excited about the plane trip. I’d love to get her a magazine and a few bits and pieces to put in her bag for the flight. My DCs are grown up and I have NO CLUE what magazines small children read. Can anyone help, please?

The cbeebies magazine is the best for activities that keep kids occupied for ages.

Can the DD read properly yet? If not a magazine isn’t very helpful as you are committing someone to help her with it. Might I suggest stickers instead? Or an usbourne sticker dolly dressing book? Poppets also good.

Good point. She’s a fairly confident reader. But the dolly dressing thing sounds great. I’m ridiculously happy these things still exist!
