Just curious because I often end up feeling sorry for the people who go along to auction with their item and wonder if people regret going on?
The auction is often miles away from where they went for the valuation -so miles away from where they live meaning petrol & hotel stay. Do the show pay?
Auction house commission is sometimes up to 25% -so final value is low.
It just seems that after a long day, a lot of travel, hotel, commission, eating out etc that the poor sellers end up making hardly any money.
